[edit]

2024 Bangladesh anti-Hindu violence should be merged with this article since both these pages are largely about the same violence that occurred after Sheikh Hasina's departure. The length of the two articles are also not too big (28kb and 29kb, which also include overlaps) to warrant separate articles. Nomian (talk) 05:24, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: This article is written as a list article, the other one is detailed encyclopedic styled article focused upon the attack on minorites. Xoocit (talk) 15:52, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Quality of the articles has nothing to do with the discussion here, we are talking about the scopes of these articles which largely overlap and can be accommodated in a single article. Nomian (talk) 03:13, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: 2024 Bangladesh anti-Hindu violence is religion violence.... nothing do with this article Foxy Husky (talk) 08:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: This article is a list and little more than a coat rack of instances of violence that have occurred after a moment in time. Basically this is a collection of news articles without any analysis to connect them together via common themes. As Wikipedia is not a news website, the notability of even having this article is questionable. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 20:23, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support: It discusses both the violence against Awami League supporters and the Hindus, no reason to have two different articles with so many overlaps. Moreover, the other article is simply a POV-fork since it is not clear whether the violence against Hindus was communal or politically motivated as most of the Hindu victims were affiliated with Awami League. With regards to quality, the article can always be improved. Za-ari-masen (talk) 22:13, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Both aren't same, this violence was politically motivated and carried out by the opposition parties and protesters, on the other hand, anti-Hindu violence is still debated either it is politically motivated or religiously and it's still unclear who attacked on the Hindus, even some reports and primary investigations pointing this to Awami League. Separate articles on anti-Hindu violences in Bangladesh are available, so propose keeping this. Wiki N Islam (talk) 09:11, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support: No reason for two separate articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sam6897 (talkcontribs) 00:38, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. I agree with others that they are not the same. From what I have read from neutral sources, the violence against Hindus was both politically and religiously motivated. Therefore, I vote to keep it. Wrzedn (talk) 05:19, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support - Pretty much everything is already covered in the non-cooperation movement article (anti-Hindu violence and disinformation.) This article is overkill. BinaryBrainBug (talk) 16:52, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
