Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because it covers a completely different topic than the "Results of the 2024 South African general election" article. This article covers the provincial elections, whereas the other article is a detailed breakdown of the voting patterns by province and electorate.

Frankly I'm not entirely sure as to why this is asserted that they are the same topics. Usually the "Results of [x election]" articles offer a detailed breakdown of voting records, while the provincial elections cover the provincial election results. There have been comparable instances of this occuring elsewhere, so there exists a precedent for these articles to exist separately. --Ornithoptera (talk) 19:05, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because it has unique information on the provincial election results in South Africa 2024 which the main page does not include this information.
