Wikilinks of dates[edit]

@Deb, In my edit that you reverted in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2024_in_Scandinavian_music&diff=1209561132&oldid=1209111315 I fixed "CS1 errors: dates" (one date was presented in an invalid form, the reference #31 looks like '"Jussi Raittinen on kuollut". yle. 14 February 2024language=fi. Retrieved 20 February 2024. {{cite web}}: Check date values in: |date= (help)' - it was a pipe character missing between "2024" and "language") and removed wikilinks to dates according to the rules stipulated in WP:Linking#Chronological items, see also Help:Date formatting and linking, while other changes were not substantial (removal of trailing whitespaces). If you disagree with my changes, please remove wikilinks from dates in the article 2024 in Scandinavian music. Thank you! Maxim Masiutin (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've fixed the ref formatting. Linking dates is fine as long as they are for purely chronological articles, viz. "in intrinsically chronological articles (1789, January, and 1940s), links to specific month-and-day, month-and year, or year articles are not discouraged". This is one such article. @Deb ok, thank you for letting me know, and thank you for fixing the date format error caused by missing pipe character. Maxim Masiutin (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
