The Civl War ship or the WWII oil tanker? Paul, in Saudi (talk) 11:10, 2 October 2010 (UTC))[reply]

This squadron is currently deactivated until the arrival of the CV-22's to RAF Mildenhall in the near future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.158.202.206 (talk) 05:55, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2013 activation

[edit]

This page previously stated that the squadron was inactivated on 9 October 2007 (actual date was 31 October, ceremony was held earlier). It also indicated reactivation on 24 June 2013 when the CV-22 arrived. No reference for this and the editor who eliminated the post 2007 activity at Mildenhall only cited to the 2007 inactivation. However [1] indicated the first Osprey was flown in by the 7th SOS and [2] expressly states that the 7th will fly the Osprey, and the 21st will not be activated but the 7th will adopt the traditional "Knife" callsign used by the 21st.

I apologize for being a little hasty in reverting improperly referenced edits, but when I sought a reference for the squadron's June 2013 activation, I cam across the above. --Lineagegeek (talk) 22:32, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
