Biography or religious text???

[edit]

This page has the "WikiProject Biography" tag on it, but it is written in a pretty religious style. At least the page should be structured such that first there is a description of the historical person, and another part describing his role as a religious icon. Of course it's fine to mention all the hokus pokus miracles, who is who's reincarnation and so on, but obviously this is only true to believers, and not every wikipedia reader --118.8.140.197 (talk) 03:48, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Karmapa lineage

[edit]

i suggest there are now several serious works to base biographies of Karmapas on - PhD theses on 1st, 3rd, 8th, 16th Karmapas and my book on 2nd Karmapa. The book used as basis for Karmapa 2 article (and for other Karmapas) is outdated and in places inaccurate. I suggest a proper overhaul of the series be undertaken.
