Does the "fifteenth and latest recognised" in the main article refer to the number of such impact craters World Wide or the number in Australia? Summerdrought (talk) 04:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

After further research, the answer turns out to be "fifteenth and latest recognised in the world" as reported by Eugene Shoemaker himself [2] He was referring to confirmed impact craters associated with meteorites.
