The eponyme is wrong[edit]
The asteroid not recive the name of the U.S.A. man John Hancock, but this he of the australian prospector Langley George ("Lang") Hancock (1909-1992) (see [1] : sorry). It is of gone neforgivenessable that you are an article in english over Lang Hancock.
En general maneer, the eponymes of numberous asteroids is wrong : example John Adams is not prezident of U.S.A.
