US President Shown is Wrong[edit]

Clearly, in the section "Participants", the US President shown is wrong - in 2014, Donald Trump was NOT president of the US. The photo below is correct, showing Barack Obama. Tony (talk) 14:34, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Countries not attending[edit]

Should we include a section regarding countries that are planning/suggesting that they will not attend the G8 summit due to Russia's role in the 2014 Crimean crisis?

So far the United States (NBC) and Canada (AFP) have discussed the possibility of not attending. --The Morphix (talk) 03:17, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect- the G7- that is all G8 but Russia, issued a joint statement that effectively cancels this summit. I would suggest rewriting the entire article to reflect that this summit will not take place. http://news.yahoo.com/g7-leaders-condemn-russias-clear-violation-ukraine-sovereignty-004851811.html

40th G7[edit]

Any source indicating this is the 40ht G7 summit? Its just synthesis here to say that.; At any rate, even if a summit didnt take place its still notable. As such such the 40th G8 summit can still have a page and the 2014 G7 summit(Lihaas (talk) 16:07, 25 March 2014 (UTC)).[reply]

Unrelated to the question (that might me a legitimate one), but related to the person.
Unfortunately I missed [1] (see replacement of “The Sochi summit” with “Priorities” and below, and compare to [2]). Next time I’l try to react with [rollback] before the edit consisting mostly of WP:edit warring became overwritten with legitimate edits. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 16:14, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of what you want to call the non-Sochi summit, it makes zero sense to say the "40th G7 summit was scheduled for Sochi" as quite clearly there was never a meeting of the "G7" scheduled ti take place there. --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:44, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
