There is the basis for a good article here, but I'm worn out trying to put it back together and filter out the recruiting language. The Old Reliables have a worthy history, but the excesses in this article are almost embarrassing.--Buckboard 11:09, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

The picture of the soldiers and tank in Belgium[edit]

That picture is my grandfather and his squad in Belgium. He is third from the right. His name is John Butrum and in this picture he was a soldier in the 3rd Army, 4th Armored, anti-tank support. 2-60 Inf[edit]

In the 70's, the 2nd Battalion was normal Mechanized Infantry unit equipped with M113's. The m0torized stuff was part of the 9th's existence as "The High Technology Testbed" in the 80's. I ser 2603:301B:1086:8100:4084:5F7:4F84:F152 (talk) 15:39, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
