I removed the following from the start of the history section, as it conflicts with the information in the 7 Years War section. That information is available on the Museum of the Manchester Regiment website. If anyone has a cite for this sentence, feel free to put it back. "Formed in 1744 as the 63rd (American) Regiment of Foot, they became the 63rd (West Suffolk) Regiment of Foot in 1758." 87.210.0.196 (talk) 21:35, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
