- No closeup of the ammo to judge any rifling by but it definitely looks like a 68-pounder and the date of 1854 is right for the Lancaster gun (Crimean War). I will assume that if a reputable publisher took the trouble to specify that it was a 68-pounder Lancaster gun, they had taken some effort over the facts. Rod.
