Golden Boys[edit]

I just revised the track listing for format, and noticed that "Golden Boys" was erroneously listed as a Dickies cover. Though The Dickies did record a version of it (for 1995's Idjit Savant), the song itself is at least a decade older than that and different recordings of it had previously been released by several other artists. It was written by Darby Crash and Pat Smear during the final months of the Germs/Darby Crash Band, and the first recorded version was by Vagina Dentata—featuring Smear and Germs associate Gerber (aka Michelle Bell)—on the Flipside Vinyl Fanzine Vol. II compilation (1984). I have the NOFX vinyl at home, and I believe it says "(Vagina Dentata)" on it below the song title (it may also say Darby Crash...I'll have to check when I get home). Here's some more info on the song. I've changed the notation in the article to "originally performed by Vagina Dentata". --IllaZilla (talk) 22:43, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed: The insert for the NOFX record states "'Golden Boys' written by Pat Smear, Darby Crash, Tim Ferris, and Michelle Bell. Published by Ruthensmear Music (BMI). Originally recorded by Vagina Dentata." Image of the insert here. --IllaZilla (talk) 15:46, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
