Incorrect photograph used in the article

[edit]

The photo in the sidebar of this article does *not* portray an F-16 belonging to 704FS. The photo shows F-16C 85-0410, which belongs to the 457th FS based at Fort Worth. The 457th inherited the tail code "TX" after the 704th was disbanded; and uses the same tail band design; which must have been the cause of this confusion. For the sake of accuracy, I would recommend removal of the photo.

If you think this is so, you should cite a source. The link to the image identifies it as a plane of the 924th Fighter Wing (not the 301st). Don't know if you considered that the plane may have been assigned to both units at different times. By the way, the 704th has never been disbanded. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:19, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Perfectly open to reliable sources on the squadron, but without a contrary source, gotta rely on Wikimedia, which indicates its from the 704th. In the spirit of Rodney King, maybe a switch to a non-contraversial 704th image would be goos.--Lineagegeek (talk) 23:38, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
