Notability[edit]

Hello can someone please add his song By my side which is the soundtrack of Blade Runner: Black Lotus? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darkblack9 (talkcontribs) 09:33, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anarsia austerodes, I restored the redirect created by Lk95, because there is no indication that A7S is notable beyond this single. Before restoring the article, please look for multiple reliable secondary sources that discuss A7S in depth. --Slashme (talk) 13:10, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Anarsia austerodes: I'm again restoring the redirect, because every single reference that you gave there is a database entry. Please read WP:GNG. To be considered notable, a topic has to have been covered in detail in multiple reliable sources. You need reviews and articles, not hit databases. --Slashme (talk) 11:40, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Anarsia austerodes: You're still quite far from the notability threshold. You've added the following refs:

  • Hafey, Lisa (2020-08-17). "Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu ft. Alexander Tidebrink – 'Destiny'". Essentially Pop. Retrieved 2020-08-26.
this is a borderline reliable source, but it's not much more than a passing mention.
This is from Universal Music Group, so not an independent source.
Three sentences on a blog. Not in-depth coverage, and not a reliable source.
A list of most streamed songs. Not in-depth coverage.
All about Topic. Mentions A7S in passing.

I'll put a notability template on the page now and check back in a while. --Slashme (talk) 14:47, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

General notability has been met. According to Wikipedia "Notability" for Music, a subject may be notable if "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." A7S has the song "Breaking Me", which has been number 1 on many, many countries' national music chart. Thus, some subjects are notable for a single placement on a national music chart, but A7S has gone number 1 in Slovenia, Slovakia, Israel, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Belgium. No. 2 in Holland. No. 3 in Germany. Even No. 71 in the USA and possibly still rising there, because anecdotally, this song is hot on the radio right now (September 2020). I see 25M+ monthly streamers for this artist on Spotify (Sept. 2020). In conclusion, the "notability" disclaimer at the top of the A7S page should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiwiki899 (talkcontribs) 17:22, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
