Define ASPRO[edit]

What does it stand for? An acronym?Bcwilmot (talk) 06:56, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Are dates correct?[edit]

The dates on this page, given in both BP and cal.BCE don't look consistent to me. eg shouldn't 12,000 cal.BCE be more than 12,000 BP? & the chronology is supposed to begin 14,000 BP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.130.97 (talk) 18:20, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dates from the ASPRO chronology do not have a specific reference from the ASPRO publication cited, there seem to be inconsistencies but these cannot be checked. Inconsistent dating for the same region is provided on numerous wikipedia pages on this subject.

What does "cal." mean?[edit]

...as in "10,200 cal. BCE". Before Present mentions that 'Such calibrated dates are expressed as cal BP, where "cal" indicates "calibrated years" or "calendar years" before 1950.' For now I'll link to that page from the first use of "cal.". Perhaps someone else can provide more clarity. --IOLJeff (talk) 01:28, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
