Review from LA Times and Metropolitan Opera News[edit]
The original sentence was this, flagged with "citation needed": "Daniel Cariaga's review of the opera for the Los Angeles Times and Metropolitan Opera News described it as a "lyrical and theatrical masterpiece"." I don't have a full copy of the LA Times review at my disposal, but I found excerpts from the review in Beverly Soll's book which are equally positive.
