Please put {{d b - m o v e|1=A Little Bit Longer (Song)|2=Capitalization}}, without all of the extra spaces, on this page, so that it can be moved. 98.223.196.72 (talk) 01:12, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I could just move it for you, but I need more information before I can make a decision on whether that would be a good idea or not. First, where do you want to move the page to? If it is in the place of an existing article, that may create issues. Second, why do you want to move it? This particular page is a redirect, which means that it's only a placeholder that points to another article. If we were to move it somewhere, all that would happen is that another redirect would be created in its place. If you let me know the reason you want the page to be moved then I can help you to do the correct action to get the result you want, if that action is supported by Wikipedia policy. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 06:23, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think you misunderstand the request: 98.223.196.72 is asking for a {{db-move|A Little Bit Longer (Song)|Capitalization}} to be placed on the redirect; in essence, 98.223.196.72 is requesting that a WP:CSD#G6 be carried out, so that A Little Bit Longer (Song) can be moved to A Little Bit Longer (song), the latter being a redirect to A Little Bit Longer, the album. But neither the {{db-move}} nor the delete operation need be carried out if the page A Little Bit Longer (Song) is moved by an admin - it's handled automatically as part of the page move. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:29, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, you're right, I see it now. I was looking at the talk page output, rather than the source text. I think the notability of A Little Bit Longer (Song) needs some investigation before we carry this out, however. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 10:12, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done for now:. And now I see that there's a requested move open at Talk:A Little Bit Longer (Song). It looks like the move can go ahead judging from the discussion there, and from the MTV source, but seeing as this is under discussion we should probably wait for the requested move to be closed. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 10:41, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A Little Bit Longer (Song)A Little Bit Longer (song) – Per our MOS, "Song" should not be captalized. A Little Bit Longer (song) is full-protected, so I cannot request a normal move. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 01:58, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • From WP:NSONGS: "Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts ... are probably notable." The song charted at Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100, as well as other two charts. The song clearly satisfies NSONGS. The article was deleted back in 2008, I noted it because I did my homework. The page was deleted in July 2008, and the song charted in August of the same year. The article was deleted because it was not notable at that moment, now it is notable. A redirect is improper considering that it didn't chart on Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles at 25, it reached the Top 20 of the most important chart in music charts. If you consider the article still being non-notable take it to AFD, as a redirect is wrong in this case. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it!
