Fair use rationale for Image:Moveable feast.jpg

[edit]

Image:Moveable feast.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This article needs serious help. The vast majority of it is descriptions of some scholars' beefs with the book. The book is an excellent read, and many of Hemingway's characterizations of people are confirmed by other sources. What would be useful is a list of people mentioned in the book, with links to their wikipedia pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.93.163.5 (talk) 13:57, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's with the sexual identity stuff in every single Wikipedia article about every single writer? What's next? Are we going to edit every article to suggest that all writers were closet vegetarians? 222.144.62.132 (talk) 01:00, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Moderns

[edit]

Unfortunately there is no link to the movie The Moderns, a wonderful creation that brings the characters of "The Moveable Feast" to life in a delightful spoof.--dunnhaupt (talk) 17:03, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary/niche headings

[edit]

This article is a mess...

Why are the content pages named so strangely? "Commentary on editing" and "Implications of sexual identity and androgyny"? Those aren't the first things anyone wants to know when looking up a book. It seems like issues that simply interested the writers of the article.

Where are the default content categories either? Where are "Synopsis," "Literary Analysis," "Reception," "Influence," "Publication History" or the rest of the standard book information?

If nobody else volunteers to reorganize the information, I will delete the niche headings in order to get the standard categories in place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.199.59.73 (talk) 20:23, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Revised / Restored Edition(s)

[edit]

The wiki makes mention of the restored edition being published in 2009. But I found the description for the 1996 edition to include reference to the restored text with an introduction by Seán Hemingway. Has there been any verficiation about publication history and edition dates? Also, I found editions from 1964 from 2 different publishers on AbeBooks. Who was the original publisher? Title Source

[edit]

Here is the original from Camus: "mais Masson a dit qu’on avait mangé très tôt, et que c’était naturel parce que l’heure du déjeuner, c’était l’heure où l’on avait faim. Je ne sais pas pourquoi cela a fait rire Marie." Google has the "moveable feast" translation from 1958: Ten Modern Short Novels, edsLeo Hamalian, Edmond Loris Volpe Putnam, 1958. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:14C6:C089:A0FA:679A:3168:2A34 (talk) 18:04, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
