GA Review[edit]

Lead
  • The lead needs to be longer per WP:LEAD. It needs to summarise the entire article. There is pretty much no information from the first four sections of the article and I would suggest more information is particularly needed on the "Recording" and "Music and lyrics" sections.
  • "The British Phonographic Industry has since certified the album 8x Platinum for its accumulated sales of over 2.6 million units." 8x Platinum is a bit jargony. I would suggest eight-times platinum.

Music and lyrics
  • "The album includes "guitar-pop", ballads, and acoustic songs. However, the U2-esque epic rock of the album's opening track "Politik", the piano-driven "Clocks", and the loud guitars of "A Whisper" were seen as an extension of the band's musical range." Do you have a reference for this?
Release and reception
  • "The album was released two months delayed from its original release date." I don't think this quite makes sense with two past participles, and also uses the word release twice. Consider rewording.
  • "In 2000, it was awarded Best Album at the Q Awards." I presume this year is wrong since it is two years before the album was released.

A bit to do, but nothing substantial, so I'll put it on hold for now. Peanut4 (talk) 22:01, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're done? Please check Cavie. Thanks. --Efe (talk) 13:15, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty much the same to say as X&Y. A very good read, and I hope you agree the improvements at GA have helped. Hopefully you can push it on to FAC either in the near future or at a later date, and I would make the same recommendations as X&Y to do so. Best of luck with the article.
