I'll review this article. Initial comments will hopefully be posted soon. --1ST7 (talk) 04:34, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the delay; I've been sick and wanted to do this with a clear head. Here's the review:

  1. Well-written
    • The lead is a little confusing about the portrayal of Simeon - it says that he is depicted as "just and devout" but also that he is given a negative portrayal. Can you please give more explanation for this?
      • Addressed. Without going into excessive detail in the lede, I rephrased the latter sentence regarding the negative portrayal. The just and devout is in reference to the Gospel account which describes Simeon as such.--ColonelHenry (talk) 06:57, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Please mention Eliot's nationality in the opening sentence.
    • "Faber & Gwyer, Ltd., printed the 'A Song for Simeon' in an 8½" × 5½" Demy Octavo..." I don't think "the" is necessary.
    • Please capitalize the first letter of each bullet point under "Gospel narrative and the Nunc dimittis".
  2. Verifiable with no original research:
  3. Broad in its coverage:
    • What was Eliot's religion before he converted to Christianity?
  4. Neutral:
  5. Stable:
    • No edit wars, etc.
  6. Illustrated, if possible, by images:

I'm going to put the article on hold for a week to give you time to address these things. Thanks for your work! --1ST7 (talk) 06:35, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article looks good to go now, so I'm passing it. Thanks again for your work; you did an excellent job on this one! --1ST7 (talk) 07:30, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
