Untitled[edit]

I think this needs a bit of a clean up.

The article on Aaron Lewis claims that as of 2006 he is the only member of Staind who is married. The article on other band member, Jon Wysocki, claims marriage. Furthermore, the article on the band Staind claims that all four members are currently married. This obvious descrepancy needs correction.

record label[edit]

Doesn't Lewis have his own record label?

-- As far as I know, he does not. -ElijahX

I believe he does, it's called 413 (the area code here in western massachusetts), or 413 records or something like that. A quick google search didnt bring up an official website, but some mentions of it. Ive heard it mentioned on the local radio. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.119.73.79 (talk) 02:02, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted a paragraph in which Lewis is said to have been called a "fat cunt" by some "new rave darlings" whose name I won't repeat. Though funny, this seemed both untrue and self-promoting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.249.112.222 (talk) 15:23, 7 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The article says he's 'unreknowed' as a writer and yet goes on to talk about his awards. slfisher.

Huh? The article says that Lewis is REKNOWNED as a writer. Seems you have a problem with reading/grasping (and writing) English language. - jane - —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.126.46.15 (talk) 11:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He is a registered Republican[edit]

He is a registered Republican, and even wrote an anthem for the TEA Party[1] He said he's a constitutional conservative and says he's against high taxes [2] [3]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.182.50.25 (talk) 21:47, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He is Jewish[edit]

In a discussion Lewis stated his mother is Jewish with origins in Russia, Poland and Germany and his father is Catholic of Italian, Welsh an English origin[4]. This is the offical Staind page and it's what he himself said so should be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.178.28.33 (talk) 09:14, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Battlefield of the Mind (2013 documentary) produced by Aaron Lewis, contributions from Staind members to Soundtrack not included?[edit]

Recently, members of Staind, and Aaron Lewis himself have put the music they create to the side to contribute music and a producer credit to the PTSD Documentary about Homeless veterans called "Battlefield of the Mind".

Requested move 13 February 2019[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: reverting to the stable title, Aaron Lewis, per the lack of consensus for the recent change in the discussion below. A hatnote for the footballer has been placed on the article here. Please note that this could have been done immediately with a request at WP:RMUM. Dekimasuよ! 18:49, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aaron Lewis (musician)Aaron Lewis – Musician Aaron Lewis is much more notorious than the similarly named athlete, and is likely the primary topic. --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:49, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Revert pagemove by GiantSnowman. Page was only moved today, no doubt in good faith, but it's been contested and the status quo should be restored. PC78 (talk) 18:32, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Though I certainly agree with the nom. The footballer has made only three club appearances so far (for a third tier club) and the article is recently created, there's nothing to suggest parity with the musician (whose band have had a platinum selling album in the UK) in terms of notability or significance. PC78 (talk) 18:36, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - possible PRIMARYTOPIC, yes; possible TWODABS, yes; but you say 'Aaron Lewis' to someone in the UK and they will say the footballer, not the musician. I see no harm in this move. GiantSnowman 08:53, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and for what it's worth he's actually made 13 appearances so far... GiantSnowman 14:21, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
3 senior appearances. I'm only going by your infobox. :) You can't seriously suggest that most people in the UK would know who he is? PC78 (talk) 16:56, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. The musician was getting thousands of views a day before the move. No evidence the footballer is anywhere close to that. Nohomersryan (talk) 18:21, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. You can take the job from his name, because of interest. --Quiz shows 21:06, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - I don’t think either the musician or the footballer rises to the level of being a primary topic. The undisbiguated “name” should be reserved for the title of a dab page. Blueboar (talk) 21:29, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • What is your reasoning? The singer has been active for over 20 years, has had multiple platinum selling albums with his band, and his article pulls in 1000+ views per day; in fact, since the move it still pulls in twice as many views as the dab page. And this is compared to a footballer who only scraped through the notability criteria less than three weeks ago... PC78 (talk) 19:32, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - per Blueboar In ictu oculi (talk) 18:24, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom--Ortizesp (talk) 02:50, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
