Birth date[edit]

Loggins wrote his birth date in his facebook, used "AarronL1985" as his Instagram user name, and "deafking85" in his Twitter. In his official website, "1985" is written upon a star. There is no reliable source better than Loggins himself. Who told the Washington post that loggins was 34 years old when he signed the anthem in February 2019? Not 33 nor 33.5 but exactly 34. In the English Wikipedia there are a lot of articles about live people without any source of their birth dates. Dgw (talk) 18:31, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the information from the Washington Post article. Per WP:BLPPRIVACY: Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public. Posting on a personal social media page is not sufficient to infer that the subject does not object to having his date of birth on Wikipedia, and the Facebook page is also not verified as per WP:FACEBOOK. Finally, the subject is barely WP:NOTABLE if at all, which requires additional precaution. If you have seen other BLPs that have an unsourced birth date, they should also be removed. – Wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:41, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So it is needed to remove the birth date of Benjamin Netanyahu, because it is not sourced. 1984 cannot be accepted, because Loggins wrote at four different sites that he was 1985, including his official website. It is clearly written here:
  • As a reliable source: Nota bene* Sometimes. The official page of a subject may be used as a self-published, primary source, but only if it can be authenticated as belonging to the subject.
If the subject is barely notable, put a notability template and discuss its erasure. Dgw (talk) 19:34, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would argue that the official website can be used if it definitely belongs to Loggins and there is no conceivable motive for Loggins to claim 1985 rather than 1984. However, that page only says "1985" in an image without explanation and it would be Original Research to interpret it as a birth year. Zerotalk 07:28, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Official website: 1985
Youtube: DeafKing85
Instagram: AarronL1985
Facebook: A full birth date is written.
No original research is needed to verify that the birth date is 1985, not 1984. Dgw (talk) 10:01, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Response to third opinion request:
Hi. I've never edited this article, nor do I know about the subject. I agree, per wikipedia:ABOUTSELF, facebook, the official website, or other self publishing sources may be used for an item such as his birthdate. This is assuming there is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity . However, I don't see any of the cited sources stating his birthdate. All I see is a star with the number "1985" in it, or "85" as an appendage to a name. On his facebook account he also states "I was born on the founder day."

The number in the star may be his birthdate, or could just be his lucky number. I don't feel it can be used as a reference for his birthdate. -- Work permit (talk) 14:48, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
