She voluntary gave up her liscense. Any comments?

I understand some may not see the difference, but in later episodes she made it clear that it was her choice. (JJGlendenning 05:12, 4 December 2005 (UTC))[reply]

Undergrad[edit]

A perhaps-more-educated guess would be that she went to St. Mary's, Notre Dame's sister school, which is very well-known for its nursing/pre-med program.

In addition to SMC's nursing/pre-med program, the President mentions that his wife is why he didn't become a priest- meaning he met her during college. While it's not explicit, obviously, it's implied that he would have met her AT college, as opposed to at home in the summer, and it's fairly frequent for Notre Dame and St. Mary's students to become couples- especially before Notre Dame's coeducation.GrumF14 00:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's more believable that Abbey attended undergraduate university in New England. It's said in the last season that she's from Vermont and New England schools have as prestigious pre-medical programs as St. Mary's. There's no reason to believe she was at St. Mary's or that Jed met her AT college as opposed to during college.

advisor[edit]

Add in that Dr. Bartlet was one of her husband's advisors during Israeli-Palestinan peace talks at Camp David in "NSF Thurmont" and "Bringham Wood" 74.69.11.229 (talk) 19:18, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
