I definitely agree with you, any time I get more information, I work it over. In the meanwhile, feel free to edit. Kraxler 22:40, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Could use references from the book Boss Ruef's San Francisco: the story of the Union Labor Party, big business, and the graft prosecution by Walton Bean, published in 1952, University of California Press (Berkeley) --Larrybob (talk) 23:05, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
There's a typo in one of the photo captions -- "Rueg" instead of "Ruef" -- and I can't figure out how to correct it. 2600:387:8:9:0:0:0:B3 (talk) 14:03, 1 November 2021 (UTC) Flo
- Done. I just went into edit mode and fixed the typo to Ruef. --Greg Henderson (talk) 14:10, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
doubtful lawyer status
[edit]A search on the California State Bar attorney search website for Abe and Abraham Ruef and Rueff did not produce results, including the "sounds like" variation. This website will list deceased members by their bar number although it will not give particulars like schools, etc.. http://members.calbar.ca.gov/fal/MemberSearch/QuickSearch?FreeText=ruef&x=33&y=4&SoundsLike=false --S. wierd citations
[edit]what are the numbers after the footnotes? I took this one ": 196 " off the "Thomas" citation but I see there are others. Since I don't understand them I am going to just leave them there, and his question here. Elinruby (talk) 06:54, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- That's the page number in the cited book, an off-line source. The same book was cited 8 times, each citation from a different page. Kraxler (talk) 15:05, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- The {{rp|nn}} reference page template is used to indicate page numbers when the source reference is used multiple times. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 22:44, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
