On Abiola Dosumu[edit]

Hello, HRH Erelu Abiola Dosumu is a client and she has been greatly disturbed by the poor Wikipedia representation of who she is. This includes her full title that must accompany her name at all occasions, as well as the spelling of her last name which is DOSUMU but has been constantly misspelt as DOSUNMU with an ‘N’. Dosumu, also spelt archaically as Docemo, is the actual name of the Royal family of Lagos State, Nigeria. The other name with an N is born by other people and is NOT linked to the Royal family.

This should not be so as she is a direct descendant of Oba Dosumu—the Oba of Lagos, and has been a member of the ruling house of Lagos from birth. She has also been referred to as “Oloye Abiola Dosunmu” in another Wikipedia page titled “Erelu Kuti” which talks about the title and its history. She is NOT an Oloye which means “Chief.” She is an “Erelu”, a born princess and this is lifetime title and the only time it changes is if she becomes a Queen. It’s like calling a born prince a chief—it is unheard of. Every mention of her name must bear the correct title which is Her Royal Highness Erelu (Dr) Abiola Dosumu, the Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos State.

One last issue is the topic of controversy added to her Wikipedia page. This is a gross misinformation and it is noteworthy that she is not affiliated in any way with the other party even while this other party was alive. There can only be ONE Erelu in a lifetime and that is my client, HRH Erelu Abiola Dosumu, the Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos. Citing the imposter on her page only gives credence/credibility to the imposter and it shouldn’t be so. This part should be taken off, please.

In a nutshell, this is a list of the problems to resolve are: 1. The correct title of the page should not be “Abiola Dosunmu” but “HRH Erelu (Dr) Abiola Dosumu” She is the Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos State

2. All the mention of Dosunmu must be changed to Dosumu. That is her correct name and identity.

3. The part of the page, Erelu Kuti that mentions her as Oloye must be changed to Erelu.

I am available to provide any more information as I have access to her. She is also ready to provide her birth certificate, International passport and other means of identification to prove that the correct spelling of her name is DOSUMU and not the misspelling. I am happy to also make a video call with her in it as further proof. Do let me know. I hope that you kindly effect these changes at once.

Possible accuracy issue raised by a COI editor in section above[edit]

There is some dispute over the spelling of the name and other aspects the subject of this article. See Talk:Abiola Dosunmu#On Abiola Dosumu above (permalink) for details.

The linked edit was made by an editor with a WP:Conflict of interest. Expect that editor to offer suggested changes to Abiola Dosunmu using the {{requested edit}} on THIS talk page. Editors should pay careful attention to WP:Biographies of living persons as well as WP:Verifiability before accepting or declining such edit requests.

To summarize how those two work together when handing a requested edit: Unverified material (material lacking an in-line citation from a reliable source) CAN be removed at any time. Unverified harmful (whether the harm is to reputation or otherwise) material SHOULD (read "must, if the claim of harm is reasonable") be removed. Verified material (that is, material backed up by a reliable source) that is harmful to a living person can stay if it is not disputed by other reliable, independent sources and the reliability of the sources themselves are not challenged. If there is a dispute between reliable, independent source and another reliable, independent source, it needs to be handled on a case-by-case basis. In cases where the "best decision" is not clear-cut, a discussion on this talk page is probably the best way to handle it. Editors with conflicts of interest are welcome to participate in such discussions as long as it's clear to other readers that they have a conflict of interest. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:25, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
