This article was created in April, almost 150 years after the event, and apparently the most notable portion of the festivities was the speech itself. There is no point in trying to change history just because there was another inauguration recently that attracted a flurry of activity. Point 3 in the summary is INCORRECT. Lincoln clearly was willing to wage war to collect what he knew to be intolerable tariffs. Text of entire speech[edit]

I have reverted the insertion of the entire speech. It is not common practice that I can see to include such a long quote into the middle of an article, especially since there is an available wikisource that includes the entire text. A better way to handle the inclusion of some of the most appropriate text can be seen at Cooper Union speech -- the issue of including the entire text of the speech is also addressed on that article's discussion page.
