Zayn72 That isn't the way to substantiate your claim. You also changed the name from Ash'ari to Salafi whilst ignoring what the source intended. Here's a few references that confirms his background.

Abu 'Imran al-Fasi (d. 1039), a reputed Qayrawani Maliki jurist and Ash'ari theologian, to accompany him to the desert to teach his tribesmen.^[1]

He was heavily influenced by Al-Baqillani as a theologian.

In fact, Almoravid Sunnism had a distinctly Abbasid favor, for their foremost theologian, Abu {Imran al-Fasi, was directly influenced by al-Baqillani (d. 1013), the greatest Ash{ari-Shafi{i theologian of his time and the propagator of the caliph al-Qadir's Sunni politics.^[2]
