Mud flow content is disproportional

[edit]

I just came to this article, and it's pretty disgraceful to see the state of the section about the Sidoarjo mud flow. Bakrie left the family business to go work in government a full two years before the environmental disaster struck; yet the section constitutes over 60% of his biography; as if the accident was entirely his fault. Most of the content is marginally sourced or not sourced at all. Wikipedia has its own article about the mud flow, it needn't be repeated in this detail on a biography of living person page! I am going to act boldly and bring this article into line with WP:BLP until we can sort out what is proportional and documented coverage of the mud flow as it relates to Bakrie. (Compare, the biography about George W. Bush devotes only about 5% of the text to the Hurricane Katrina response, which was more squarely on Bush's shoulders than this mud flow, lamentable as it is, rests on Bakrie's shoulders.) Unverified claims

[edit]

There are a number of unverified claims and unsourced opinions. There is no citation for the claim that he's recognized as one of the most successful businessmen. Among others. Night Ranger (talk) 06:25, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Citations have been added to the passages marked by Night Ranger by sourcing opinions expressed in Indonesian newspapers, among them http://greatsuccessstory.weebly.com/success-story-of-bakrie.html. Note: In 2009 Forbes Magazine had him listed as Indonesia's 4th wealthiest http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/80/indonesia-billionaires-09_Aburizal-Bakrie_0J8F.html. Thamrin2 —Preceding undated comment added 16:13, 19 February 2012 (UTC).[reply]
While most who are familiar with Indonesian business and politics would immediately recognize the veracity of even the non-cited claims about Bakrie, it appears that Thamrin2 has adequately addressed the WP:RS threshold question, anyway. I'm going to be bold and remove the flag inserted prior to Thamrin's remedial edits, with no prejudice toward its restoration if additional problems are noted.
