Due in part to their vast size, abyssal plains are currently believed to be to be a major reservoir of biodiversity - generally, one doesn't reference a statement in a lead unless controversial - is this? Also why does it need six? (issue addressed) DiverDave (talk) 11:37, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
