What distinguishes Acoelomorpha from Placozoa ? The description of the former sounds allot like the latter.
This page should say the approximate number of known species in the phylum. --Savant13 13:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Someone needs to find a reliable source for that. -- Donald Albury 12:21, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Phylum?
[edit]According to the Xenacoelomorpha article, it is a clade, not a phylum. Which is correct?160.111.254.17 (talk) 15:29, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
"Phylum" is for people who care about such things. Phyla, for those who accept their existence, are clades, as are all biological divisions. Hard core cladists don't care about stamp-collecting labels, as long as the ordering is correct. Put species at one end, animalia at the other, and every step between is just a clade. Simple and done. Anyway, someone seems to have nailed the label Phylum onto Xenacoelomorpha in its article now. (talk) 18:43, 7 December 2019 (UTC)just a wiki reader
