This is a very important piece of trivia to me and it should be to everybody else

I don't remember what year the company name changed from Conductor to Contact. But here and here and here are references to the original name from 1988 and 1989. There is some delay in publication to print, so 1989 might be late. I also know it was Contact Software at some time in 1989. —Długosz (talk)


Is the first link referencing an article from you? Not sure what the site is ... the other two don't seem to exist. It doesn't surprise me that people use an old name after it's changed - people were calling it Symantec ACT! some years after it had gone to Interact, then Sage :-)

I discussed the exact times with the founders (Pat and Mike), when I wrote this History - the Wiki page is pretty much copied from my article without some of the extra info - like who suggested the name change.
