GA Review[edit]

Once again, this is a very-well written article that brings the story to life. Some minor suggestions:

  • In the infobox under "Strength", it looks a little strange to not capitalize "frigate".
I decided not to as it is not a proper noun.
  • In the "Background" section, adding "respectively" after the mention of the Amethyst and Emerald would make the sentence more clear.  Done
  • Wikilinks for "port" and "starboard" in the "Background" section (and perhaps "quarterdeck" and "grapeshot" as well).
  • My understanding is that "mizenmast" has two "z"s (see Mast (sailing)) -- this word appears twice.  Done (seen it written both ways, added "z" for consistency.
  • The wikilink for "prize money" in the "Aftermath" section seems redundant, as it has already been linked in the "Background" section.  Done
  • In the "References" section, my preference is to have the "Editor" come after the name, as in "Gardiner, Robert (ed.)" or "Gardiner, Robert, ed." This helps keep the flow of the alphabetization.
Done (It was done this way becuase a very fussy editor at FAC insisted on it).

Much of this is personal preference, and none of it is serious enough to hold up a GA pass. Please consider the suggestions and use any that you like and forget about the rest. My biggest concern is the spelling of "mizenmast", so I would appreciate it if you could look into that. With that said, I am promoting the article. Again, you've done a great job with yet another Napoleonic War article. Congratulations! GaryColemanFan (talk) 06:52, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
