Planned Development[edit]

Hi there, as part of my wider project on naval operations of the Mediterranean campaign of 1793-1796 I plan to expand and develop this article over the next couple of weeks, bringing more details and sources along the lines of the other articles on my user page. As is my usual practice, I will work up a new article draft in my userspace, and drop it here when it is ready. I will endeavour not to remove anything sourced and valuable from the article in the process, although I may move things around a bit. As always, send me any questions, complaints or comments. Best--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:15, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Very much looking forward to it. Thank you. Eastfarthingan (talk) 00:18, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Maybe you can help with something; Mahonesa casualties are given in the article as 12 killed and 20 wounded, but Bowen's after action report estimates 30 killed and the same number wounded. I can't find the lower figures in any account of the action. Where did this come from? Is it Campbell?--Jackyd101 (talk) 17:29, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Newly developed article is ready and has been copied into article space. For the edit history of my rewrite, please see the redirect User:jackyd101/Action of 13 October 1796. As always, any thoughts, comments or complaints welcome.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:44, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
