Some considerations[edit]

"It also discouraged the Soviet Navy from using the medium-sized Shchuka-class submarines for operations near the Romanian coast" First of all, that's not true because larger submarines (L-5 and L-6) laid mines off Mangalia (Romania) multiple times in the following months, while these mines scored no success, the line suggested (I hope not directly took from the source) is just plain wrong. Another large submarine, S-33, made failed torpedo attack against destroyer "Marasesti" on the same area. In 1942 also ShCh-215 made attacks off the mouth of Sulina river (merchant "Carpati" sunk) and ShCh-205 off Costanta. This just checking the most notable attacks.
