An interesting question. It would be fascinating to find out if any of the previous Acts were applied to events occurring in the part of the Parliamentary session before they were written. The other alternative may be that the laws were said to come into force at the start of the session for administrative reasons, but that they were never applied to previous events on a ex post facto basis. I am not sure how someone would go about finding the answer for this, but I will keep an eye open in case I stumble across something. Road Wizard 11:02, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
