Cleanup start

Wow, this article needs some work, but being the founder of the largest children's site on the web definately makes him notable.

Someone wrote this in the article instead of the discussion page, I assume claiming to be Adam Powell himself: "Thats the wrong Collingwood College link by the way, I didnt go to Durham. If anybody sees this please fix it as I don't know how.". I'm not certain as to what whoever-he-is is referring to - the page cited obviously refers to the proper Adam Powell.

[A friend writes: the hotlink entitled "Collingwood College" directs the user to Collingwood College, Durham University, and NOT the secondary school which Powell attended in Surrey, England. This should be fixed. The weblink immediately following it, which reads simply "here", DOES link to the correct school site and, as you say, clearly does refer to the correct Adam Powell.] The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.66.235.243 (talk • contribs) 21:59, December 20, 2005 (UTC).
I turned the link into a redlink, since apparently we don't have an article on that secondary school. --AySz88^-^ 23:54, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm looking for some Adam Powell interviews to use as sources - found one (or alternate link) so far. AySz88^-^ 03:25, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

Oh yes, and if the guy at the bottom of the article (professor at MIT) isn't notable for actually doing something, that snipplet probably should be removed. Looking at just what's in the snipplet, I don't think there's anything there that would warrent the mention. I haven't read the cited article though. AySz88^-^ 03:27, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

Nice

Good to see this article has been created instead of a redir to Neopets article.

The one thing that i'm interested in, which i am unable to find the answer for (and would be useful for this article) is what actually is Adams role at Neopets now? You'd have thought the founder would get some more credit, but he doesn't appear on the Neopets Press Release or Board of Directors so i'm led to assume Dohring/Viacom has gotten rid of him and Donna? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Benbread (talk • contribs) 19:29, November 13, 2005 (UTC).

It's highly doubtful that they are no longer involved in Neopets. I still see Donna and Adam on listed as "executives" at http://info.neopets.com/presskit/press09a.html . AySz88^-^ 19:40, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

Mr. Powell editing the article?

Someone claiming to the Mr. Powell added his email address as a comment to the article. It seems to indeed be his real email address, if you Google it. (Looking through his posts, he seems very friendly on the PPT forums....) Since the article gets replicated throughout the Internet LOTS of times, I'm going to take it out of the commment, but I'll check on the address. --AySz88^-^ 16:31, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

It seems to be him all right! Welcome to Wikipedia, Mr. Powell!
This was his response:
Hi, yeah that was me. I was more interested to see how Wikipedia worked and what sort of response I'd get by editing it. I'll go and register soon because it's probably best my email address is hidden :)
Thanks for the quick response!
Adam

I have to mark that you've edited Wikipedia, which needs me to put your IP address at the top....so we need the registered account before we can take the IP off the top. Thanks! --AySz88^-^ 18:32, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
