2004[edit]

Dorian refers to Lord Henry as Harry throughout the book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.60.252.37 (talk) 02:49, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1915 Russian silent adaptation?[edit]

Can anyone confirm that? I read somewhere that there was Russian adaptation from 1915, directed by Mikhail Doronin & Vsevolod Meyerhold KarolS (talk) 19:35, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?[edit]

If I recall correctly a variation of Dorian Gray appeared in this work. Should it be mentioned in this article? It shows another version of Gray and might be of interest to anyone doing research, even if the film was terrible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.28.158.84 (talk) 23:50, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking the same thing when I came across this article. I have added the entry. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:51, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fulgrim[edit]

The fate of the primarch Fulgrim, from Warhammer 40000, is pretty much the plot of Dorian Gray. He takes a sword from a planet of aliens that have fallen to the Chaos god Slannesh. The sword is possessed and gradually warps people in Fulgrim's army and their entourage. It affects Fulgrim himself subtly at first, and then more brazenly at the end. The book Fulgrim follows both the titular character, and two artists. One of which paints a portrait of Fulgrim himself, initially it looks nothing like him; being grotesque and warped and offensive to look upon. As the sword warps Fulgrim and he indulges more and more, the painting looks more like Fulgrim in his prime. By the end of the book, Fulgrim is trapped in the painting, left forevermore in an abandoned theater, and the daemon that was trapped in the sword now possesses Fulgrim's body. Theoretically Fulgrim should someday be able to escape (even if only to death) if the story concludes like Dorian Gray. - NemFX (talk) 05:07, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Dorian Grey Diet[edit]

I feel like I already know the answer as to whether this short film should go on this page or not, but if it does which section should it go under? 208.127.199.105 (talk) 13:52, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Phantom of the Paradise?[edit]

The Wikipedia entry for the movie "Phantom of the Paradise" mentions that it was based in part on "Dorian Gray": Paul Williams's character has a videotape which ages while he remains young. Nogoodbooks (talk) 20:56, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
