"Govenor of Tokelau"
[edit]So it does exist as a separate title? I always thought "Administrator of Tokelau" answered to the Governor-General of NZ in his capacity as Governor-General of NZ. 118.90.22.226 (talk) 11:11, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Duncan MacIntyre
[edit]Should his name has a "Brig Gen" in front, if I am right in assuming he got his rank before he became Administrator? 118.90.22.226 (talk) 10:08, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Human Rights breaches in 2021 and Administrator involvement
[edit]In 2021, Tokelauan citizens were placed under house arrest by their relevant Taupulega (Council of Elders), if they refused to receive a Pfizer vaccine against Covid-19. This is well documented by Papali’i Fuiavailili Ala’ilima in an article of the Daily Examiner.[1]
Administrator Ross Adern was aware of this breach of human rights and did not act to intervene, despite the fact that Tokelau citizens are also New Zealand citizens, and no such policy applied to other New Zealand citizens at that time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Waiholawoman (talk • contribs) 02:34, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
