Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that Aeryon Scout be merged into Aeryon Labs. I don't think the product is independently notable enough to justify its own article (setting aside the concerns both articles have about coming across as overly promotional). Ich (talk) 12:34, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We already had this discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aeryon Scout. - Ahunt (talk) 13:42, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ahunt:, thank you, I missed the note on the other talk page. I'm still not certain it's necessary to have separate articles (relying on WP:PRODUCT and WP:INHERITORG here).-Ich (talk) 14:00, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The article has three independent media refs, so it is obviously notable in its own right, meets WP:GNG. In general within WikiProject Aircraft we keep manufacturer's articles and aircraft type articles separate as long as there are sufficient refs to support the aircraft type as a stand-alone article, which there is in this case. - Ahunt (talk) 14:26, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Now 6 years later, the official website seems dead after the buyout. The way this Forbes blog post writes about the Skyranger, it says the it is produced by Teledyne FLIR now. So I'm not sure if the Waterloo offices are even active or not. Harizotoh9 (talk) 06:05, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
