Brothers[edit]

I came across some information today that I believe is worth mentioning in the article under the biographies of the brothers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khmer_Rouge it is interesting to note that Pol Pot and his elite circle shared a similar system of naming, and I am under the impression that this is where the refrence came from. I will include it in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.253.36.46 (talk) 00:27, April 21, 2008 (UTC)

Inspiration of Afro Samurai(Bogus Japan that American thinks about)[edit]

アフロが好き、時代劇も大好きな日本人の僕が、アメリカ人の“間違えちゃった日本人観”で逆に遊んでみたいと思いました It was insisted that it have been influenced by bogus Japan that the American thought about. 221.184.33.122 (talk) 15:53, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you're trying to say here. Also, if the link for an article is in another language other than English, it shouldn't be linked in the English wiki page, thus negating the need for a new section. (Deftonesderrick (talk) 18:13, 19 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Huh? Wikipedia is not limited to English sources, especially not for foreign topics. If the source is reliable, then it is a valid source and should be incorporated. It appears to be an interview with the creators of Afro Samurai, including its creation/conception. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 18:47, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarifying, I've been told several different things regarding foreign citation. The prevailing thing is though, what does the article say exactly and how does it fit? I'm still not understanding what, "It was insisted that it have been influenced by bogus Japan that the American thought about" means. (Deftonesderrick (talk) 20:09, 19 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
I'm not sure what the IP was trying to say either, though I'd guess English was not their first language. Better to just read the article itself and see what's usable. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 20:29, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, do you read what I believe is Japanese? Sadly I do not. (Deftonesderrick (talk) 23:01, 19 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
It is Japanese and no, I do not. Google translator does a decent job, but probably best to see if someone from the project who does read it can give it a more thorough/accurate reading. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 23:06, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am using an English machine translation. The amusing article was discovered and I wanted to offer it.221.184.33.122 (talk) 00:27, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The original writer says that it was influenced by strange Japan in an American movie. 221.184.33.122 (talk) 00:22, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for clarifying what it is you're trying to do but what does that mean? The sentence doesn't make sense. (Deftonesderrick (talk) 18:46, 20 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
I think he's trying to say that per the article, the create was inspired to create Afro Samurai seeing a strange (and I'd guess stereotypical from the translations of the article) depiction of a Japanese character in an American film. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:13, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am 221.184.33.122. Thank you for representing it. What you say is correct. 61.119.128.140 (talk) 08:43, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think that might be what he's trying to say. I still don't get what this IP is trying to say really. Bogus Japan? :P – J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 19:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is not this important information reflected in Wikipedia?Afro Samurai was strongly influenced by American media that kept sending the wrong information of Japan. Because no one reflects it, I write it in Wikipedia. 220.106.176.104 (talk) 03:59, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No one said the information wasn't important, we were saying the way it was worded was confusing (bad grammar). I've fixed what you wrote to read correctly. (Deftonesderrick 17:45, 12 April 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Takimoto[edit]

The synopsis really needs to explain who this is before just whipping out his name, or replace it with something like "a person meets a mysterious figure, who turns out to be Justice".72.12.219.170 (talk) 04:52, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Titling[edit]

Whoever decided to include two different titles for each episode should really give some kind of explanation. Is one the English name and the other a Japanese transliteration, were the episode titles changed when it was released on DVD, is the second title listed a subtitle? I would love to know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snowblinded (talkcontribs) 05:25, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
