This is my first time submitting a Wikipedia entry, and I attempted to read and follow the regulations, but my article was given a speedy deletion tag. I believe that adequate context is provided for the article, which focuses on the Afterschool Congressional Caucus. I have listed the purpose for formation of the Caucuses and the political leaders associated with the founding and current operations of the Caucuses. I would appreciate suggestions as to how I might provide further context that would save this article from the speedy deletion train. Bursteir (talk) 17:19, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone tell me how I change the title of the entry so that it can be looked up as Afterschool Caucuses (without "the")? Bursteir (talk) 17:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the speedy delete tag, under an IP address and then created a username. I have started to clean up the coding on the article some also. A new name 2008 (talk) 17:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To change the title you can either wait 4 days after you created your account (mine is a new account and not editing under old account anymore) and then a new tab will show up that allows you to move articles to new names, or you can request that the page be moved at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks for your help! Bursteir (talk) 19:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, glad to help. I don't understand why this article was ever put up for speedy deletion. It never as far as I can tell met any of the criteria for speedy deletion A new name 2008 (talk) 19:16, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since I've had such luck posting these questions, I figured I'd go for another....Is there any way to link the text within an article to the text within another article? Ex. there's a Congressional Caucuses page, and it lists the House Afterschool Caucus and the Senate Afterschool Caucus. I'm trying to figure out how to link to those... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bursteir (talkcontribs)

I created redirects from those to articles to this one. They now are blue links and they will come here. there is another way to do it and that is to create a pipe, the coding would look like this [[Afterschool Caucuses|Senate Afterschool caucus]] but it would look like this in the article Senate Afterschool caucus and it would direct to this article.
