84.67.128.69 has simply lied throughout today with his or her edits. Not a one of the comments here is supported by anything but a Kemynite desire to make Agan Tavas look bad. Bollocks to that. I have reverted. (By the way, Dunbar and George was published in 1997, nt 1998.) Evertype 20:48, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have made an edit of a few words here which I felt were a bit extreme against kemmyn. I've not deleted or anything the critisism of kemmyn just re worded it into what i tink is a more reserved academic tone. Some statements against other spelling systems in a public site are i think badly damaging to cornish as a whole rather than the other system. As somone born after the 'flame war' i've not got the personal grudges or attatchement to systems or their promoters and If in these sort of articles we could keep a fairly reserved critisisim of the other systems I think tat would be helpful. 14:58 17 Jan 2005 (WPM)
Please sign your posts. I might look again at your edits. But in fairness, members of Agan Tavas have no love for Kernowek Kemyn, and that shouldn't be ignored. Evertype 23:06, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried to give this page a more balanced and streamlined form, although it can of course still be improved. Before Eventype reverts it all in favour of his well know POV, could he please provide some evidence for the two main points that I have taken out. (1) That there was a "boost" in AT's membership following the publication of Cornish Today (some real figures would be nice), and (2) that AT functions as a "language regulator". I.e. when has it set standards, made rulings, published guidlines, set examinations etc. Is it even formally consulted before Dr. Williams makes changes to UCR? It seems to me more appropriate that "Eve[r]type" who knows and works with members of Agan Tavas should be in a better position to express "his well[-]know[n]" opinions than someone who wants to denigrate Agan Tavas by calling it marginal. I will look into the two points you raise here, however. Evertype 23:06, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, the anonymous editor is known to me and was telling the truth as he recalled it. He was an AT member at the time the society was relaunched, whereas Eventype was not and so is again relying on hearsay. I am attempting to educate said anonymous ed. in the Ways of Wiki, so hopefully any furture edits will be signed. Mongvras 21:10, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me? Eve[r]type relies on hearsay, meaning the reports of people he knows in Agan Tavas and elsewhere in Cornwall, but "the anonymous editor is known to you" and that isn't hearsay? Sheesh. Evertype 23:06, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
