- More detail has been added to the examples. There is no one name for them, and there are species that have such strange ones that there is no standard name for something that looks like that. Botanical descriptions say complicated things like "Fruit an aggregate of sessile thinly fleshy monocarps, each subtended by a separate long stalk derived from the torus (carpophore), and separated from it by a distinct articulation."
