Sources in Portuguese

[edit]

Found some sources in Portuguese which may be useful for a PTwiki article:

character names

[edit]

As per https://horseiuchi.wordpress.com/aggressive-retsuko-character-bios/ and http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Anime/AggressiveRetsuko the English subtitled TBS episodes give new English names to most of the characters, but the English Netflix episodes use the Japanese names.

The links aren't actually RSes so I won't cite these in the article. Instead the "source" for the English names is the subtitled TBS episodes themselves. WhisperToMe (talk) 12:40, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

BTW the article should generally use the Netflix/Japanese names, not the TBS ones. WhisperToMe (talk) 12:45, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As I see it, the article should at least mention all the names used, including any local renames. We have to cater to audiences from all the viewing areas. The article should adopt one set of names (probably the closest English language ones to the originals) and use those throughout, but any variations should still be mentioned in one place - either character lists, or in a section on rebranding to other markets. I agree on that count totally! I went ahead and added the TBS English names (which weren't there before) as doing so makes it clear who's who. The Netflix version has become popular, so the article's general naming scheme should reflect the Netflix series as these names are identical with the Japanese ones. WhisperToMe (talk) 10:41, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing the TBS subtitle names, as they are unofficial. Oornery (talk) 07:20, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest using the official sites as an reliable source of information.

[edit]

It has been confirmed recently that Retsuko and Haida are just friends, despite the whole popular belief that they would become a couple. In fact, the issue is due the lack of attention of anyone who wrote reviews or articles about the show to the point of not finding any reliable source of information.

For stance, it was not just Resasuke's fault that the romance didn't well, after all Retsuko herself was day-dreaming the whole time. Resasuke, who don't start conversations often, could not figure what was frustrating Retsuko since she didn't said anything really important. That's the reason which the final episode of season one is called "Dream's End!", after all Retsuko had to stop day-dreaming.

Besides, I found strange that it was said that Retsuko is "hinted" to have the same feelings for Haida since she never demonstrated these feelings. After all, she was perfectly fine about turning him down thrice and never entrusted any of her secrets for him or Fenneko.

Valentine's day post featuring a image of Retsuko imaginating her crush who is no other than Resasuke: https://www.facebook.com/aggretsuko.official/photos/a.263249930818618.1073741828.248238965653048/352762148534062/?type=3

Here is a masked man representing Resasuke in the Amoeba Music event alongside a costumed Retsuko: https://www.facebook.com/aggretsukorage/posts/229563041214163 It's not the first time which he shows up there, that's why I warned that was a bad idea telling that Resasuke disliked Retsuko.

Is there something in the description that needs to be updated because of this? Keep in mind, this is WP:NOTAFORUM for speculating on whether certain characters are just friends or whether they should be a couple. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:39, 10 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point?

[edit]

What's the point of giving episode 'descriptions' on an encyclopedia that are simply the title's you'd give to those descriptions? These Japanese anime episode descriptions are so vague I wouldn't bother wasting so much space for them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.205.218.75 (talk) 17:15, 10 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the false information that Resasuke is Retsuko's one time boyfriend.

[edit]

I have tould before that what happened between Retsuko and Resasuke was a misunderstanding. After all it's been confirmed for quite a long time that they don't broke their relationship and fans were misleaded into spreading lies to support shipping that the community is even being aggressive toward those who disagree with them.

Take a look at these photos of the Den of Rage which have photos of Resasuke and Retsuko as an couple https://thekitsunetwork.net/2018/05/14/aggretsukos-den-of-rage-2/#jp-carousel-4478 They are there AFTER the end of season one, so it's pointless to keep with a false information since whoever wrote the article didn't payed attention in the story and neither followed the official accounts or neither took part of Den of Rage events.
