Don't you think we should refrain from giving these people ideas?--Dudeman5685 07:22, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. As I see it, it's no different from describing the workings of an atomic bomb or giving a movie spoiler. This article is no more "giving people ideas" than the description of the hypothetical video game Body Harvest Moon. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 11:33, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is very poor logic to make the comparison between a real-world criminal act and the making of an atomic bomb, which, cannot be done by anyone except maybe a government or very well funded institution that would not get it "how to" from Wikipedia. In addition, it is also poor logic to compare real-world events with hypotheticals such as movies and video games. (Thinkforonce (talk) 16:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]
Wikipedia does not publish original research aka creates ideas, it republishes already existing terrorism ideas. It helps ordinary people to understand and accept governmental contra-measures better. It also reduces the psychological effect of terrorist acts, when people already know about the potential threats. In summary, republishing terrorism ideas on Wikipedia makes terrorism less effective.--Geysirhead (talk) 20:47, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fruitflies - dubious?[edit]

The release of fruitflies is marked "dubious - discuss", but there is no discussion. I'm removing the "dubious" tag and adding a cite needed in its place. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 18:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
