Drama Desk Award[edit]

Sherie Rene Scott was not nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Aida, according to the official site at [[1]]. I am asking for a reference per WP:VERIFY and WP:RS for the entry of March 28, 2010 showing that she was nominated. (Also see the playbill article on the DD nominations: [[2]].) Deleted entry, it is clear that Scott was not nominated, based on the references.JeanColumbia (talk) 12:14, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A French translation ???[edit]

Hello everybody! Are you sure there was a French translation of the show? I searched a bit on the Internet, and couldn't find anything related to a French "Aïda"... What are your sources? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.21.76.66 (talk) 00:27, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Casting[edit]

In looking over the list of featured actors and actresses, I was struck by how many Caucasian or European-American actors had played parts in the production. Has there never been any controversy over this fact? Given the issues that have attached to previous productions of Miss Saigon, West Side Story, Flower Drum Song, The King and I, etc., it would be surprising to me to learn there had been no notable complaints about roles of African characters (both sub-Saharan and otherwise) being portrayed by people whose heritage is entirely outside that region. If not, fine, but if so, we should include a paragraph about this aspect. Lawikitejana (talk) 13:41, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation[edit]

The synopsis added on Jan 14, 2012 by User talk:96.228.113.86 is a cut-and-paste from the MTI Shows website at MTI Shows Synopsis--this is a copyright violation. Copyright policies are explained at WP:COPY and "Please do not copy and paste from copyrighted websites – only public domain resources can be copied without permission" at the bottom of the edit box. I have deleted that copyright violation synopsis and returned to the earlier version.Flami72 (talk) 19:18, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
