Fleet info missing[edit]

AMC Museum Merge[edit]

Do not merge. At the bottom of the Air Mobility Command Museum website it states, "Copyright © Air Mobility Command Museum and Air Mobility Command Museum Foundation". It is also a .org website, not .af.mil. Apparentey the AMC Museum is a private foundation, not an official part of the US Air Force.

Just looked at the Air Mobility Command Units Website, and it lists the AMC Museum under "Other AMC Organizations". However that link is to a non-USAF website

It would be more appropriate to merge the article into the Dover Air Force Base page, as the museum is located on the base property. Reading though the Museum's website, it appears to be operated by a private foundation, but works very closely with the 436th AW. Bwmoll3 (talk) 15:07, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a similar museum here in Georgia, at Robins AFB. The Museum of Aviation is located on the base and it's very expansive. It's operated also by a private organization and it's not an official part of Robins or Air Force Material Command, but it has their support, especially in restoring the planes on display. I also know there are museums at Hill and Tinker AFB's and I suspect they are also operated by private foundations with the same level of support by the Air Force.

O-G[edit]

I tried to translate "operationally-gained" into standard English. This looks like a technical term, which would be unknown to readers not versed in the bureaucratic nuances of the United Sates Air Force.
