Filmography edit[edit]

Changed release date of RGV Sholay to AUG/SEP of 07 instead of May, also removed London Dreams from the 2007 movie list as the movie has been shelved for now. Come to think of it, the sholay needs to be changed to Aag.

What is a link to the Tarkhan tribe of Punjab doing underneath Ajay Devgan's external links?

Ajay Devgan met or rather started initially courting Kajol in or before 1995 during the making of Hulchul and Gundaraj (I am not sure if those are the two movies but Kajol did mention they started dating when they first signed up for two movies together and my peremptory research at iMDB tells me that would most likely be Hulchul and Gundaraj). So to say they met during the making of Ishq is incorrect.


I have changed it from him marrying Salman Khan to marrying Kajol. I am submitting this article for a check because it has terrible factual errors.


This article is ridiculous apart from movie facts, there is nothing believable left. The author is obviously making fun of Mr Ajay Devgan, i.e. giving false information as in referrig to his homosexuality and dating stories. Devgan --> Devgan?[edit]

He has, as per his official website, changed his name legally to Ajay Devgn : http://www.ajaydevgn.com/ . Should the article be moved to "Ajay Devgn" and this article redirected to it? I think WP:COMMONNAME is the relevant policy in this case. A cursory Google News search shows he is being called both Devgan and Devgn by the media, but I'm not sure how reliable that is. Copana2002 (talk)

Wekipedia should change the surname from Devgan to Devgn[edit]

His official website is ajaydevgn.com -- and the copyright on it says "Ajay Devgn" as well. I think that under WP:COMMONNAME like you linked to, it uses the example of an organization name change being reflected by Wikipedia, so it's reasonable to move it to Ajay Devgn or if this is not the sufficient information then you can also find this information on any of the latest biography of Ajay Devgan. That specific non-free image cannot be used on Wikipedia, because as stated in WP:NONFREE, No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose.

Lead section is too much long. I can't edit from mobile. Time to change to Ajay Devgn[edit]

Ajay Devgan changed his name to Ajay Devgn many years ago. All the sources nowadays refer to him as Ajay Devgn, as can be evidenced by a simple Google News search. I therefore think its time to change the surname to Devgn per WP:COMMONNAME. A search for Ajay Devgan ([7]) or Ajay Devgn ([8]) on Google News provides results for only Ajay Devgn in both the cases. Even his production company has the new name on Wikipedia (Ajay Devgn FFilms). It would therefore be better if the article changes to Ajay Devgn which is the WP:COMMONNAME now. The introductory sentence can be changed to Ajay Devgn (born Vishal Veeru Devgan on 2 April 1969), earlier known as Ajay Devgan, is an Indian film actor, director and producer. I'll note that his mustache is much more impressive in the current infobox picture, and I always side with the most impressive mustache. On the merits of the request, neither image stands out as superior, I'd rather stay with the more current image. Despite the IP's comment, the last edit before a Showbiz sock edit is [12].
