[edit]

@Osasnova and @OmoIyaLeke, Please stop edit warring and discuss your problems with the article here. Please. I will not involve myself in this conflict but please. Sangsangaplaz (Talk to me! I'm willing to help) 11:59, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about I am simply putting history back on track Akoko edo people are Benin and there is no Yoruba people in akoko edo Osasnova (talk) 12:25, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The page was updated to reflect historic events and migrations of the region.
@Osasnova might be assuming that everyone that share his state is one of them. Sharing a state with a people does not automatically make them one of your ethnic people.
Akoko people have an independent language: the Akoko language, which has a similar origin to the Yoruba language (Read: Proto-Yoruboid language).
Additionally, see the North of old maps also:

Hmmm currently your argument seem more reasonable. Sangsangaplaz (Talk to me! I'm willing to help) 12:52, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. No one said there are no Benin/Bini there, but that the space also contains the indigenous people, the Akoko people. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 13:07, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What of the old maps above before the creation of Nigeria?
Also, what do you mean by Akoko Edo does not share boundaries with Ondo?
Akoko Edo does not only sharing boundary with Ondo in the North-West, but also Kwara state and Kogi state. In the south-east by both Etsako west (Auchiclans) and Etsako north (Okpella), and in the south-west by Owan. See the recent map below:
