Proposed move

[edit]

This strikes me as another place where the Kurdish name is more commonly used in English sources than the Arabic one, so I propose we move it to Tirbê Spîyê. Konli17 (talk) 11:58, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I found that name only in this source [[1]] can you explain if this source is NPOV, i never heard of them. Shadow4dark (talk) 12:20, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's strange. What search engine did you use? Konli17 (talk) 12:38, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For you, duckduckgo and google. I found also many facebook posts. Shadow4dark (talk) 12:42, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So more than one. Konli17 (talk) 12:45, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Konli17, First of all, I don't know where you are getting your claimed results from. The search results for for Tirbe Spiye give 225 hits versus 58,500 for Qahtaniya. Second, are you on a crusader to Kurdify every town in northeastern Syria? The suggested move is clearly POV pushing, which I strongly oppose. Your search results include settlements of the same name in Raqqa Canton and Iraq. Can you refine it? Konli17 (talk) 00:23, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes or no? Konli17 (talk) 20:20, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here are the results for Qahtaniya+Hasaka for you. 12,300 hits. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 06:36, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have 53,600 for Tirbêspîyê and 3,720 for Qahtaniyah+hasaka. Konli17 (talk) 06:45, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Oppose. Here s the result from Qahtaniyah and Qahtanieh. As you know, it is written in different ways in the Latin script, so I included both in the result 102,000 (double your number). Another propaganda/POV pushing attempt. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 07:11, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And Qahtaniyah alone gets 72,000 hits. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 07:13, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your search results include settlements of the same name in Raqqa Canton and Iraq. Can you refine it? Konli17 (talk) 07:38, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Raqqa what? Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 08:22, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
